To date our Customer Relationship Management application, TotalRM, has been built almost entirely in a vacuum.  We do have several customers that are currently using TotalRM, and their feedback has been invaluable in helping shape what TotalRM currently is.  We need more feedback from both individuals (remote sales people, real estate agents, one-man shops) and companies.  We would like to interview as many companies as we can about what, if anything, they are currently doing to manage their relationships with their customers.  We would like to find out what tools they are currently using.  How those tools (CRM or otherwise) really help them, or what needs those tools are failing to meet.

I have been working in some form or fashion with Customer Relationship Management for close to 15 years now.  I have implemented other companies’ applications, including writing add-ons for them.  I have written custom applications for small businesses, as well as being on teams that have written large applications for thousands of users.  I believe I have a decent understanding of what CRM is, and many of the needs that a CRM application needs to fill.  But, I’m also sure that there are gaps in what I think and reality.  This is where you come in.

We need your help in telling us where the current tools on the market are missing the mark.  We need to make sure that our vision for TotalRM actually lines up with needs of our potential customers.  If you agree to be interviewed we will not be doing any sales pitch on TotalRM and why you should use it.  This is entirely for the purpose of gathering information from sales people and companies about what they are currently doing, and what they’d like to be doing.  If after we are done hearing about your current Customer Relationship Management implementation/strategy, you would like to hear about TotalRM, I’d be MORE than happy to discuss it with you.  But that is NOT the intent of setting up these interviews.  It is our hope through the information gathered during these interviews that we make a better product more suited to the needs of individual sales people and companies wishing to improve their CRM strategy.
